Historical Bodmin
Bodmin carries the echoes of a haunting murder mystery from April 1844 when Charlotte Dymond’s lifeless body was found on Bodmin Moor.
The tragic tale involves her alleged walk with boyfriend Matthew Weeks, who was later arrested and tried at the Shire Hall, now the Cornwall Crown Court. The controversial trial led to Weeks’ execution.
