Our cottages are powered with sustainability in mind. We use a biomass boiler fuelled by renewable wood sources, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering carbon emissions. Alongside this, our wind turbine and solar panels generate much of our own electricity, helping to make Tawnamoor Rural Retreat as self-sufficient as possible.
For guests travelling by electric vehicle, we provide an EV charger on site, making low-impact travel to and from Cornwall easier.
Inside each cottage, you’ll find cosy log burners using wood from our woodland, offering warmth and atmosphere with a lighter environmental footprint. And outside, your private wood-fired hot tub provides the ultimate way to unwind – heated naturally, without electricity.
